25gr fresh yeast/ 1 tbs dry yeast
250 ml warm milk
500 gr all purpose flour
4 tbs sugar
a pinch of salt
1/3 tbs lemon zest
canola oil for frying
Mix all the ingredients together into a dough or use a bread machine…
Let the dough rest in a warm spot for 30 minutes (until double the initial volume).
Divide it into 3 parts, roll the dough and cut the donuts using a glass.
Let the donuts rest for another 5 minutes.
Fry them in canola oil (tip: make sure you place them into the hot oil with the top part while resting).
Cover them in powder sugar or fill them with chocolate or preserve.
