I don’t think there is anyone out there who doesn’t like pizza!
Once you start making your own dough and fill it with whatever you like the most,
pizza from most restaurants or the frozen variaty from supermarket will become a big joke.
STEP ONE:
The dough:
1 cup warm water
1/2 tbs pink salt
1/2 sugar
1 tbs dry yeast
2 tbs olive oil
2 1/2 cup flour
Put the water together with the yeast in a large bowl and mix it well with a wisk.
Add the rest of the dry ingredients and mix well.
Start incoportating the flour little by little until the dough is smooth and doesn’t stick to the hands.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm spot for 30 minutes (until double in volume) .
Sprinkle a fair amount of flour on your working board and start rolling the dough using a rolling pin.
This is the first time I used a rolling pin as an experiment, I usually use my hands which is the recommended way to do it.
To be honest I didn’t notice any difference, the dough raised as if shaped with the hands.
Sprinkle flour on you pizza pan and move the pizza dough into the pan.
Prick the dough using a fork.
STEP TWO:
The filling in three acts:
I. Tomato sauce:
3 tbs tomato paste
1 tbs water
1 tbs olive oil
pink salt & mixed pepper
1/2 tbs basil
1/2 tbs oregano
chili flakes
Mix all the ingredients together and spread over the dough. Sprinkle another tbs of olive oil.
II. Shrimp & Salmon
8 – 9 large shrimps
1/2 pound salmon
3 garlic cloves chopped
1 tbs butter
1/2 sour cream
Saute the shrimp and the salmon with butter and garlic.
Let cool and start arranging over the pizza.
III. Veggies & Cheese
2 – 3 champignon mushrooms
2 small peppers
few red onion thin slices
4 -5 green olives cut in half
few tomato thin slices
1/2 cup shreded cheese or more 🙂
Cut all veggies in thin slices and arrange on pizza.
Sprinkle the cheese on top of everything.
Bake at 385F for 25-30 minutes (don’t burn the cheese :D).
ENJOY!
